We have implemented the following special measures in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak:
- When a place is booked via the website, a new section has been added for parents/guardians to declare that they or their child have not been in close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and if they have, they have self-isolated for 10 days. (This will also apply to PAP instructors).
- We will ensure that when parents/guardians arrive to drop off or collect their child/children that we maintain the government guidelines of social distancing, ensuring there is 2 metres between everyone. Parents/guardians will not be allowed into the building whilst dropping off/collecting the children. PAP instructors will sign the children in and out safely. Once inside, social distancing measures will be maintained.
- Additional cleaning measures will be implemented to maintain the highest possible standards of hygiene at all times.
- We will be briefing the children at morning and afternoon registration and regularly throughout the day regarding hand washing and using and disposing of tissues.
- We will have a supply of antibacterial hand-gel and request staff and children to use this regularly throughout the day.
- Information posters will be displayed showing how to wash hands properly and effectively.
- Children will be organised into RAINBOW ‘bubble’ groups of a maximum of 15 per group. These groups will be easily identifiable for the children by a specific colour of the rainbow and they will then remain in their ‘bubble’ for the day.
- Each ‘bubble’ will stay together for the day and not mix with other ‘bubbles’.
- If a child develops a high temperature during the day, parents will be contacted immediately as the child will not be able to stay at the workshop.
- If a child begins to show symptoms of a cough/fever they will be sensitively moved to an allocated area where the child can be kept safe until they are collected.
